The Friday Report - 7/4/14
TMS Pre-production Report.
There are 18 new Mississippi permit applications since the last full report I gave in early June.
However, as I mentioned earlier this week, due to duplication of units in multiple applications, there are at least 2 unit applications guaranteed to be rejected., so we will have no more than 16 new permits issued.
In summary, there is 1 Goodrich application (technically, this application was approved on the June emergency docket), 5 EnCana, 5 Sanchez, and 7 for Halcon.
So, here we go.
Goodrich:
Amite County-
Spears 31-6 is a 952.89 acre unit in Section 31 of T2N R6E and the north half of Section 6 of T1N, R6E. This unit is more generally located due south of the Goodrich C H Lewis 30-19H. The C H Lewis drilling pad will be used for drilling this well, also.
EnCana:
Wilkinson County-
Sanders 11H is an 1,856 acre unit in Sections 2, 11,12,15,16 and 25 of T2N, R1E. Located adjacent to and east of EnCana Longleaf 10H and adjacent to and due north of the EnCana Pintard-28H. The pad appears to be accessed from Anderson Rd.
Amite County-
Knighton 34H is a 1,906 acre unit in Sections 24, 34 and 37 of T1N, R2E. Located due east of the EnCana Davis unit in the southwest corner of Amite County The pad appears to be accessed off of either Coppell or Trask Roads.
Taggart 35H is a 1,999 acre unit in Sections 22, 34, 35 and 38 of T2N, R3E. Located adjacent to and east of EnCana May with the pad accessed just off of Hwy 48 at the Berwick crossroads.
Other units of EnCana are the two in question also located in Amite County...the Boudreaux 12H and the Blackstone 14H.
The Boudreaux 12H has the same sections as the Sanchez Damascus No. 1H, Sections 4,11,12 18 and 19 or T2N, R2E. (Interestingly, the Sanchez survey says this is a 1,997.9 acre unit while the EnCana survey calls it 2,019 acre unit. I'd love to know what caused the 21.1 acre difference.)
The 1,987 acre Black Stone 14H has roughly 2/3rds of the same area as the 1,890.7 acre Sanchez Beaver No. 1H with common Sections 13,14,17 and 18 in T2N, R2E. The Black Stone 14H also has Sections 2 and 3 to the north representing roughly 1/3 of the unit application, while Beaver No. 1H includes Section 27 to the south representing its remaining 1/3.
Sanchez:
Wilkinson-
Brown is a 2,097.8 unit including Sections 21, 34, and 35 of T3N, R1W. It is located due north of Sanchez Dry Fork West and due west of the Sanchez Wilkinson and is likely accessed off of Hwy 563.
Wilkinson is a 1,990 acre unit including Sections 22, 23, 24, 33, 36 of T3N, R1W. It is located due north of Sanchez Dry Fork East and due east of Sanchez Brown unit. It is likely accessed off of Hwy 563.
Macedonia is a 1943.1 acre unit including Sections 9, 18 and 23 of T2N, R1E. It is located between the EnCana Longleaf 10H to the east and CMR 8H and CMR 31-22H to the west. It is accessed off of Macedonia Road about 5 miles out of Centreville.
And, the aforementioned Amite County applications for Damascus No. 1H and the Beaver No. 1H with duplicate acreages with EnCana.
Halcón:
Watson is a 2,013.06 acre unit including sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 22 and 23 of T1N, R2W. It is located adjacent to the west of the Halcon Persell and due south of the Sanchez Morris unit. Access to the drilling site would likely be accessed off of Donegal Road.
Turnbull is a 1,846.12 acre unit including Sections 29, 30, 33, 34, 38 39 and 40 T1N, R2W. It is located adjacent to and east of the Halcon Morris and adjacent to and west of the Halcon Lewis, likely accessed off Turnbull Road.
Lewis is a 1,823.7 acre unit including Sections 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 40, 41 and 42 of T1N, R2W. It is located adjacent to and west of the Halcon S D Smith, likely accessed off of the Jackson, LA Road.

As best I can tell, this is the largest acreage unit in the TMS, thus far. The unit is located due north of the S D Smith, Due west of the Horse Shoe Hill 10H and south of the Halcon Branex Resources and Johnson. Access to the drilling pad appears to be off of Jackson, Louisiana Road.
Creek Cottage West is a 1,572.8 acre unit located in Sections 6, 12 13, 20 and 21 of T1N, R1W. The Creek Cottage units are located between the Horseshoe Hill units and Blackstone 4H. Accessed to the site is likely off of Whitestone Road via Hwy 24 roughly halfway between Woodville and Centreville.
Cottage Creek East is a 1,572.8 acre unit located in Sections 5, 13, 14, 19 and 20 of T1N, R1W. The Creek Cottage units are located between the Horseshoe Hill units and Blackstone 4H. Accessed to the site is likely off of Whitestone Road via Hwy 24 roughly halfway between Woodville.

And there you have the preliminary Mississippi Oil and Gas Docket for July as it relates to the TMS...as best as I have been able to determine.
