Comstock Unit Application Dismissals
There were 25 unit applications with 80 well applications in Wilkinson County that were “dismissed without Prejudice” at the October 15 meeting of the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board.
"Dismissed without Prejudice" means the application can be brought back up at a later date.
I posted earlier the names of 11 Sanchez units based on notes by someone attending the meeting. One of the units listed, Cherryfield, was not dismissed. Rather, this particular application was “Continued.”
So, there were actually only 10 Sanchez units dismissed without Prejudice.
The Sanchez unit names dismissed (which would have included 2 wells each) can be found here:

The 15 remaining dismissed units (and related wells) were applied for by Comstock. Some of the names of the wells are the same in two or more township and range applications.
Also, the units don’t actually have names.
Instead each of the Comstock wells have names (all beginning with the name “CMR Foster Creek”) within the defined, but unnamed, unit that starts with the section the drill is being set to begin and the section the permit intends for the horizontal well to end. (I know...it is confusing.)
The point being the well names are meaningless by themselves and the units are unnamed.
Therefore, I’m listing by Township and Range, then by Sections (in some case partial) the 15 Comstock units dismissed.
Here we go…
