November Encana Permits
There will be at least nine new Encana unit drilling permit applications, along with 18 well permit applications(2 per unit), that will appear on the November docket of the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board. I suspect there will be many more.
This either means Encana is preparing to drill a lot of wells in 2015 or Encana is afraid the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board will make good on its threat to balance the rules a little with changes in the near future...or, perhaps both theories are true.
Regardless, I don’t normally list Mississippi permit applications before the issuance of the preliminary docket, but I’m curious about applications I have missed.

So, please share any additional applications that you are aware and I'll add it to my list...just share it on the "Tips" link at the top of the page. For now, here is the list I have.
(Note: Sections listed below are sometimes partial with irregular sections and, in a couple of incidents, are a best guess in the absence of the actual application.)
Township 2 North, Range 2 East:
Reeves 34H, includes Sections 25, 34, 39 and 40. This unit is due east of the Lyons 35H about 3 miles east of Centreville.
Township 1 North, Range 3 East:
Wansley 41H, includes Sections 30, 31, 40, 41, 42, 46 and 45. This unit replaces the former Neyland 45-40.
Township 2 North, Range 2 East:

Harvey 14H, includes 8, 13, 14, 23 and 24. This unit is northeast of the Wansley and replaces the Goodrich CMR 8H, I'm told, as Goodrich and EnCana have swapped some mineral interests.
Duck 16H, includes Sections 5, 6, 7, 16 and 22. This unit is due east of the Harvey 14H and due west of the Thornton unit....more or less in the Ducktown Community of Amite County.
Township 2 North, Range 3 East:
Tumey 30H, includes Sections 26, 27, 29, 30 43, 44, 45 and 47. This unit is due south of the Sabine 12H.
Harvey 31H, includes Sections 25, 31, and 42. This unit is due west of the Tumey 30H.
Township 2 North, Range 4 East:
Baker 28H, includes Sections 27, 28 and 43. This unit is due east of the Longleaf 29H, located about 3 miles or so southeast of Liberty.
Quin 30H, includes Sections 25, 30 and 41. This unit is due west of the Longleaf 29H and located south by southeast of Liberty about 3 miles.
Price 31H, includes Sections 24, 31 and 40. This unit is due west of the Quin 30H and is south of Liberty about 3 miles.
