Daily Report 9-1-2014 - Upcoming Results
I hope everyone has had a great Labor Day!
The topic du jour is upcoming wells results. Moreover, there are 4 conferences in September where these results and their implications could be discussed.
The four conferences are, as follows:
9-2/4-2014 - Barclay CEO Energy, New York
9-17-2014 - Credit Suisse, New York
9-18-2014 - Imperial Capital, New York
9-29-2014 – Johnson Rice, New Orleans
Goodrich will present at all of these conferences, including the Barclay Conference this Thursday. Results from the Denkmann 33-28H-2 should be available by then and I expect an announcement of early results from this well before the conference. Goodrich Bates 25-24H-1 appears to be flowing back, also, but I doubt results will be available for the Barclays Conference, though it is possible.
Goodrich Bates results could be given alone at the Credit Suisse Conference on September 17 or Imperial Capital Global Conference on September 18.
Alternatively, the Bates results could be combined with the Goodrich CMR-Foster Creek 31-22H-1 on September 29 at the New Orleans Johnson Rice Conference. Fracking operations appear to have begun on the 31-22H-1 and results from this well should be available by then. In fact, the Spears 31-22H-1 and/or the CMR-Foster Creek 24-13H-1 could also be available by then.
Halcon Resources will present at the Barclays Conference on Wednesday and may at others, though no announcement has been made to that effect. Results from the Halcon Fassman 9H-1 and Halcon S. D. Smith 1H will not likely be available by then, but perhaps we will learn how successful fracturing operations have been to date and whether flow back has started on the Fassman. There also appears to be some reworking of the Blackstone 4H-1 at this time and some information may be offered from those efforts.
Sanchez Energy has not announced attendance at these conferences, but the Dry Fork East drill has been completed and fracking operations should begin soon. I would expect an announcement by the end of September on this well.
Encana doesn’t often present at these conferences, either. However, there appears to be some drilling changes being planned by Encana that could be started before the end of September. It would neither surprise me if Encana made an announcement about these changes nor would it surprise me if they didn’t. I plan to discuss these rumored changes in my report tomorrow.
The Encana Lyons 35H-2 is flowing back and the Pintard 28H-2 is likely flowing back, but unless Encana does make a presentation about TMS operational changes, we aren't likely to learn any official well results until the 3rd quarter report is given. Rumors may provide us with a guesstimate, but no guarantees.
