September 6, 2014 - Rumors and Ramblings
September 6, 2014 Rumors and Ramblings is a better title than September 6 report, don't you think?
At any rate, here goes.
The Mathis 29-17H-1 does NOT have a drilling rig on it. The pad is being enlarged.
This means that the Mathis 29-17H-1 well may be drilled next or it means it may be delayed while another well is drilled since the pad may not be finished in time. Or, it means nothing. Time will tell.
The Goodrich Bates 25-24H-1 is flowing back and all of us north of Liberty are excited about it. Despite our excitement and thirst for knowledge as to how this well is doing, I seriously doubt we will know how it is doing for at least couple of more weeks.
Take deep breaths and long walks. Read a good book. Take up yoga. But, whatever you do, stop stressing about how this well is doing.
In fact, I believe we could only learn how this well is doing after results from the Goodrich CMR/Foster Creek 31-22H-1 are ready to be announced. The 31-22 results may not be ready until the end of September, so you actually may need to read an entire series of books.
There are a lot of rumors out there about how far along the Ash 13 and Sabine 12 are. To the best of my knowledge, Ash 13 is nearing completion of drilling the first well of two and Sabine 12 has just completed drilling of its first hole. Fracking shouldn’t start until both holes are completed and I’m guessing we’re looking at a minimum of 3 weeks before that happens.
Pintard 28H-2 is flowing back, but it had an 8,500 foot lateral. There will be a lot of water to regurgitate from this well before the well “cleans up” and significant oil is produced. It could easily be 2 weeks before a peak production number can be known and there are no guarantees we’ll hear what the numbers are, even then. All that said, I expect (though do not guarantee) Pintard 28H-2 to be a very good well.
Those are enough ramblings for now.
Hasn’t it been a beautiful day!
