Well Results EnCana McIntosh 15H-1 and Reese 16H-1
Form 3 for both the EnCana McIntosh 15H-1 and Reese 16H-1 have been reported. Both wells were drilled from the same pad located on Chance Road, off of Ewell Road south of Hwy 48, a few miles east of Centreville, Mississippi in Amite County.
The McIntosh 15H-1 began flow back on April 16 and the date of test for this well was on May 5. Perforations were made across a 7,585 foot lateral. The test showed a 24 hour production of 1,057 barrels of oil using a 17/64th choke and a casing pressure of 1,744 psi.
Likewise, Reese 16H-1 began flow back on April 16 and the test date was May 5. The perforated lateral was 6,167 foot. 24 hour test results were 827 barrels of oil using a 19/64th choke and a casing pressure of 1,115 psi. It is obvious this lateral was shorter than intended, by at least 1,500 foot.
Compared to more recent wells, these results, particularly for the Reese, aren't exciting. On the other hand, by drilling these wells together costs were cut back a great deal.
These wells were both drilled north with a planned distance of roughly 1,800 foot between the laterals. This isn't close enough for there to be any possibility of the two laterals having any crossover production.
