Friday Report 10-2-2015
TMS PRE-PRODUCTION UPDATE 10-02-2015
A very belated Friday Report. My apologies. I'm moving to an every other week Friday Report due to the slowed activity here in the TMS. I’ll continue to call it the Friday Report in the hopes we return to the need for weekly updates.
As always, this report is my best available information for pre-production wells or wells in the early days of production for which little, if any, production information is available, listed by county/parish, west to east and north to south.
Information on producing wells can be found via the links at the bottom of this report. You can also enter the name of a well in our Search above and often find more specific information on a particular well of interest to you.
All that said, here is this week’s report!!!
Wilkinson County:
Halcon Creek Cottage West 1H, H&P Flex 3 Rig #249 completed drilling. Creek Cottage is located on Whitestown Road a couple of miles south of Hwy 24. Ready to Fracture.
Sanchez Macedonia – Current plans call for 2-4 wells to be drilled here in the 4th quarter of 2015 or the 1st quarter of 2016. This site is accessed from the north off of Hwy 563, then down Macedonia Road about 10 miles to site on west side of Macedonia Road. Sanchez announced during its 2nd quarter report that drilling operations in the TMS won't return until prices return.
Sanchez Bloomer # 2H – The Bloomer is located on the south side of Hwy 24, 18 miles west of the Hwy 24/61 crossing in Woodville and is near Ft. Adams on what some are referring to as the Rosenblatt site. Trinidad Rig #125 spud on March 7. Sanchez Energy announced in its second quarter report that this well was expected to be producing "in the 3rd quarter." Eye witness reports are there is a flare coming from the site at this time and some hauling away of fluids, presumably mostly water by the report. No official reports of production have been announced, yet.
Amite County:
Goodrich T. Lewis 7-38H-1 located from the same access road as the EnCana Lewis 7-18H-1 off of County Farm Road a mile or so north of the Lower Centreville Road, accessed off of the Greensburg Road, located about 6 miles south of Liberty on the County Farm Road. Twenty stages fracked and flowing back. Early reports are that it's a good one. There was an official flowback test on August 27 that reported an oil production of 767 barrels per day. Choke size was 13/64th's and casing pressure was 1,558. Low gas production (414 mcf) and high water production (872 barrels) combined with the tight choke suggest this well will be a successful well, though not likely a super well. Time will tell.
Pike County: Several permits for drilling in Township 1 North of the western and central portion of the county have been approved, mostly by Virtex.
St. Helena Parish:
Comstock Meeks 56 HZ-1, located on Martin Lane north of Hwy 38 off of Hwy 441, just south of the Mississippi line and Encana Lawson 25H-1. Pad is finished. Plans to drill are on hold.
Paloma Resources LLC Denkmann 9-3H-1 and Denkmann 9-16H-1 wells in T1S, R6E, have also been approved for drilling. The units are located roughly 4 miles east of the Comstock Meeks 56HZ unit, two miles south of the Amite County/Mississippi line, and 4 miles west of Hwy 1053 near the western edge of Tangipahoa Parish.
St. Tammany:
Experimental preliminary vertical well by Helis Oil and Gas, the EADS POITEVENT ETAL #1, has been permitted, but faces other legal challenges to full authority to drill.
Tangipahoa:
Halcon Franklin PST Prop H-1, H&P rig # 623 spud November 1. Access to this site is from downtown Osyka, Mississippi on South Railroad. Drilling complete, production casing in place to 17,957 foot. Awaiting fracturing.
Goodrich Kinchen 58H-1, accessed from Hwy 1053 about 1 mile north of Kentwood off of Hwy 51. H&P Flex Rig 3 # 249 spud on December 6. Completed drilling to a depth of 18,365 foot. Kinchen 20 stage frack was reported on August 5 to be in the early stages of flow back. No news release
Washington Parish:
Goodrich Painter Etal 5H-1: Nabors Rig #624 spud January 11. Pad located on the east side of Louisiana Highway 450 about 4 miles south of Louisiana Hwy 38. Drilling completed to 17,223 foot and ready to frack. Fracking is being delayed beyond an earlier announced mid September time on this well and the W. Alford well as a result of continued oil drops since the company announcement was made.
Goodrich W Alford 10H-1: Officially the Little Silver Creek Sand Unit F, this site is located off Hwy 1056 in the Mt. Hermon community in northwest Washington Parish. Nabors Rig #624 spud February 23, 2014. Drilled to a depth of 17,105 foot. Awaiting fracking. Fracking on this well will be delayed beyond the middle of September as previously announced due to drops in the price of oil.
East Feliciana: Permits in process
West Feliciana:
Halcon Walker-permitted, with no drilling plans at this time.
