Australis Drilling/Production Update 1-30-19
Australis provided an update of the first six wells in its TMS drilling program late today (or early morning on January 31 if you’re reading this from Australia).
An initial 30 day report on the first completed well, Stewart 30H-1, showed an average 30 day production of 1,177 barrels of oil per day. Cumulative production for the first 30 days totaled 35,602 barrels of oil. This well had a reported lateral length of 6,900’ with 20 stages.
The 30 day production from the Stewart 30H-1 likely ranks in the top three wells to-date in the TMS. The Longleaf 29H-2 and the Lawson 25-13H-1 would be the others in that elite grouping and all 3 would have similar numbers.
The Bergold 29H-2 had drilling/completion issues reported in the update by Australis dated January 2, 2019. A reported lateral length of 2,000’ with 6 stages developed a restriction in the wellbore and the isolation plugs separating the sections were unable to be drilled. It is hoped and expected that some future production will develop from this well, but further operations will need to occur. This well will not be included in Australis’ production studies for the TMS.
The Stewart 30H-1 and Bergold 29H-2 share the same pad and production facilities with a location about 2 miles east of downtown Gillsburg, Amite County, MS just off of Hwy 584.
Meanwhile, the Taylor 27H-1 and Williams 26H-2 wells have been drilled to a total depth of 19148’ and current drilling depth of 13,095’, respectively. The Taylor 27H-1 had a proposed depth of 19,500’ and the Williams 26H-2 has a proposed depth of 19,950'. The pad for these wells is located off of Bean Road roughly 2 miles west of downtown Gillsburg, Amite County, MS. Fracking of these wells will occur once the Williams well is completed.
The last two wells reported are the Saxby 3-10 2H and Quin 41-30 3H. The pad for these wells is located about 5 miles south of Liberty, Amite County, MS off of Greensburg Road. Australis reports the verticals in these wells are completed and awaiting a larger rig to move in and drill the laterals proposed for roughly 8,000’ for both.
